Circular Park

A park based on what is already there and what could be found - an example of Circular Economy in Landscape architecture.

The mission was to make a meanwhile park on a site ready for construction - that is mostly consisting of gravel. Plants were chosen for their ability to sustain this very arid location and were planted in a grid with space for spreading and self-sowing. All stone material was found in the municipal storage for surplus materials.

After consultations with local residents several social elements were decided upon - a pump track for learning how to bike, benches in tactical locations and a communal garden.

The whole park is designed for “zero” maintenance - except for the vegetable garden that is managed by volunteers.
